A LETTER TO YOU DANIELLE
You are, but you are not
Not here
Yet somehow you still permeate the air around me
I can feel you watching me
Watching over me?
I was supposed to take care of you
That's what big sisters do right?
But I still remember what the rest of our family forgot
Or have tried to forget
You became taboo
Never to be mentioned
Never to be cited
Yet I still work some how on your case each and everyday
Because I remember
I still talk to you before I sleep
Every night
I still cry when I think of what we lost
Every
time
I wonder who you would be today
Would I tease you
Would we fight
Would we visit eachother with our families
I have to believe in heaven
There has to be a place for you
Someplace; perfect place where trees grow,
Sun shines , field full of flowers so you could dance……
A safe place………
And
because I remember
I'll never forget
